The Japanese language training sector of the Mongolian-Japanese Center for Human Resources Development uses funding from the Japanese government’s implementing agency to provide courses that is specific to the “JF Standard” or based on the “Japanese language education standard”. This standard follows the concept of “mutual understanding through the Japanese language” we use the language solve “what can be done?” though a “practical approach” and an introduction to the culture to develop an “understanding of the country’s culture, as well as respect for it”.

Basic Japanese language and other training

In addition to the main summit of the JF Standard focused language course, a “preparations for Japanese at a set level training” and a “Methodologies for Japanese teaching training” programs are available.

As well, to support the education of the Japanese language within the frame of Ulaanbaatar City and the countryside, nationally not only students but teachers too are provided with Japanese language classes and introductions into the Japanese culture classes which go to where they are situated which is very unique. This course provides the possibility for all schools to be involved in learning Japanese.

 

Other activities aimed at promoting education on the Japanese language in Mongolia

Other than activities for the Japanese language program, each center organizes activities with the purpose of contributing to strengthening and development of Japanese education in Mongolia by working with authority organizations.

  • “Conferences on the indoctrination of the Japanese language” are held every year and covers all Japanese teachers nationwide from the organizing city to the countryside.
  • Regarding the Japanese Embassy, competitions called “who speaks well in Japanese?” for artistic expression and “who sings well in Japanese?” for Japanese song singing are organized.
  • Relating to the teachers’ union it has become tradition for Mongolian Japanese teachers to attend seminars such as “seminar on the study and education of Japanese” and “seminar on methodologies for teaching Japanese”.

 

Receiving contract work according to issues arisen from Japanese language education

The Japanese language education sector takes ideas from external organizations and signs contracts with them, organizing activities with a fee to promote the education of the Japanese language.

  • Organizes the competition for artistic expression.
  • “Japanese language course for experienced teachers”/organized for teachers in Mongolia gaining experience by teachers who gained their experience in Japan. /
  • Provides advice on issues relating to the Japanese language program to the program as well as the program’s organizations.
  • Practice test for the Mongolia-Japan Center’s Japanese level examination.
  • Conducts all sorts of other activities and business related affairs
